Design objects

Small-scale objects, awards and experimental works where material, movement, function and narrative converge. For me, object design shares the same principles as spatial design: creating relationships through proportion, rhythm, use and emotional connection.

CELESTIAL PHENOMENA OBJECTS

Painterly Surfaces, Sculptural Forms

Presence Within Space

The smaller-scale works of the Celestial Phenomena object series emerge at the intersection of painting, sculpture and spatial perception.
Each piece explores the relationship between colour, surface, light and form, creating a quiet yet distinctive presence within space.
The object can be displayed on a wall or placed on a table, operating simultaneously as an image, a relief and an intimate sculptural presence.

Prizes and moving objects

Kinetic Award Object

A sculptural interpretation of the experience of mountain biking — speed, movement and the connection to landscape.
Featuring a rotating steel sphere, an integrated sound mechanism and a carved wooden form inspired by the topography of the Nagykovácsi Basin.

Created for the 70 km distance of the Crosskovácsi Mountain Bike Marathon, this award functions as both a moving and sounding sculpture. The rotating stainless-steel sphere evokes motion and velocity, while the built-in mechanism reproduces the characteristic sound of a bicycle freewheel. The carved wooden body references the surrounding landscape of the race course. The mountains Nagyszénás, Nagykopasz and Zsíros-hegy embrace the moving metal sphere, transforming the terrain into sculptural form.

Materials & Production

Created Through Local Collaboration

The object is made of American black walnut and stainless steel.
The wooden elements were crafted by the Lorinczwood workshop in Nagykovácsi, while the mechanical and metal components were developed in collaboration with Benjamin Tömböly.

An important aspect of the project was bringing together local craftsmanship, technical precision and an experimental approach to making.

Form Development

The starting point of the design was the geometric relationship between the wheel and movement.
The distorted circular form creates a sculpture that is simultaneously stable and dynamic.
The surface evolves through a continuous transition, shifting from one direction to the next.

Material connections

The award is made of concrete, complemented by a bent metal strip and engraved surfaces.
he contrast between the materials—the raw solidity of the concrete and the gently curving metal—reinforces the dynamic character of the object.

VAP Film Festival Award

The three concrete elements evoke the founders, held together by a single rusty iron nail. The form falls apart when the nail is removed. The nail symbolizes the award.

How the Concept Works

The works explore how a functional object itself can become part of the narrative structure of space.

Environmental Award

Modular porcelain award that represents different areas of nature conservation in a symbolic form. Material: high-fire porcelain, unique glazes Size: 12 × 12 × 2.5 cm

Concept

Form and system

The undulating, infinite outer shape evokes the constancy and continuous change of nature, while the different glazes and surfaces of the interchangeable porcelain lenses convey the character of each category. Categories: Water protection · Plant protection · Earth protection · Ecological balance

message / gesture / memory / presence

The Scribble is a narrative object hiding a personal message.
The object explores the intimate relationship between handwritten gestures and memory: how a small everyday object can become an emotional vehicle.
The hidden message only becomes visible at the moment of opening, so the object simultaneously preserves history, absence, and personal presence.

PORCELAIN THESIS

Whether it's a space or an object, my goal is the same: to create a connection between people, form, and perception.

Wave bowls

Salad Serving Set

The organic forms of my serving set are designed for relaxed yet elegant dining. The undulating rim and oval shapes create a unified character. Its central piece is the “Wave Bowl,” which, with its representative presence, dominates the interior and highlights the material qualities of porcelain. The wave appears in the gentle rocking motion of the shakers, while this same curve defines the entire body of the beverage pitcher.

These shakers don’t hide away in a drawer — they become table ornaments, small kinetic sculptures. Their shape depends on where the steel plug acting as a counterweight is placed: they lean, tilt, and settle, like a modern roly-poly toy. Every position creates a new character — pointed, flattened, or angled — turning the object into a playful field, a visual statement, and a functional piece at the same time.
