Helyspecifikus, a teret alakító és újra értelmező gesztus Szándékosan olyan technikát használtam, melynek transzparens rétegein látható a fa mintázata. A fa eredeti struktúrája, erezete és a levelek festett jelenléte párbeszédbe lépnek egymással, miközben a kép egyszerre nyújt esztétikai élményt és hívja kontemplációra a nézőt.
A kompozíció egyensúlyt teremt a faanyagra jellemző állandóság és a természet múlékony szépsége között,
Painted, polished, lacquered wooden surface Festett, csiszolt, lakkozott fa parketta felület. 120 cm x 120cm
"I deliberately used a technique with transparent layers that reveal the natural grain of the wood. The original structure and veins of the wood enter into dialogue with the painted presence of the leaves, while the work offers both an aesthetic experience and an invitation to contemplation. The composition creates a delicate balance between the permanence of the wooden material and the ephemeral beauty of nature, inviting the viewer into a quiet dialogue of contemplation." ANCIENT STURGEON WITHIN THE OAK FLOOR The theme of the parquet painting was born by chance. I felt a strong urge to depict the back of a water creature emerging mysteriously, like the appearance of the “Loch Ness Monster,” across the large surface of the oak floor. The location itself was inspiring — the living room opens entirely toward the forest, and standing there feels as if one were within the woods. By coincidence, I came across the species of the giant sturgeon, which immediately captivated me. The entire creature — its form, its intricate, decorative pattern — is as elaborate as a Persian carpet. The species dates back to the age of the dinosaurs; its back and sides are covered with bony plates. Its mystical, ancient presence in the modern world deeply inspired me. I wanted this motif to appear very subtly, almost like a gentle transition beneath our feet, so that its image would slowly reveal itself over time, rather than resembling a conspicuous patch or sticker. Through the use of multiple layers of translucent glaze, I sought to veil the detailed pattern, so that its vibrancy would not disturb the calm atmosphere of the interior. My intention was to evoke an “underwater” effect — as if an ancient creature were truly swimming within the floor. The composition creates the illusion that the natural grain and color of the wood act as a water surface, from which the body of the fish “emerges.” This approach organically fuses the motif with its background; the image and its surface are not separate but blend seamlessly into one another. A water giant surfaces, and the floor thus “turns into water,” with the wood grain functioning as a rippling surface. The natural motif, placed within a man-made environment, calls attention to ecological questions.
